Ann Pirvu was born Anca Eliana Pirvu on May 25, 1987 in Romania. She and her family came to Canada when Ann was only 12 years old. Since coming to Canada, her passion for drama, theatre and ultimately filmmaking came alive as she became involved in numerous drama productions (one major production every year since 1998) and especially the Archbishop MacDonald Movie Works club. Beginning with small commercials for school advertisement, her high school career ended  this year with the culmination of 3 years of hard work, dedication, and fierce determination to complete her first feature length project, Pure Malice, which has debuted June 1, 2005 at the Royal Museum in Edmonton. This is her first and only feature project which she has also written, edited and acted in. Prior movie experience includes landing a leading role in the feature movie “Little Pictures” (summer 2004).
